Fixing Deerfoot Trail is a priority for the province’s new transportation minister, but he’s not sure how soon we can expect those traffic headaches to subside.
Ric McIver tells The Calgary Sun the top problem spots include where the Deerfoot crosses Anderson as well as where it crosses Glenmore.
The province suggested more lanes would be added either this year or next, but no work has started.
McIver also points to the southeast LRT leg and the construction of the southwest portion of the ring road as other priorities for the city, but he says he must consider projects all over the province and see how they stack up.
