Daniel Tschetter seeks parole

A Cochrane man who killed five people when he plowed into the back of their car with his cement truck is appealing for more freedom.

Daniel Tschetter was behind the wheel of a truck in December 2007 when it slammed into a vehicle stopped at a red light.

Sisters Kiarra and Alexia Gautreau and their father Christopher, died in the crash.

Also killed were Christopher’s girlfriend Melaina Hovdebo and 16-month-old Zachary Morrison.

Zachary’s father, Lee Morrison, says he’s disappointed and has been emotionally drained by the entire process of fighting to keep Tschetter behind bars.
