If you don’t have a car but need one, Google “Calgary Carshare”.
The company has seven vehicles that it lends out between 154 members.
“People who are young families starting maybe don’t want to have to buy a second car, we have people who use it primarily for business actually, who will go to their place of work by transit but then use the vehicle during the day to run business errands,” said spokesperson Tracey Braun.
You can become a member online, it is $500 down with a small monthly fee, plus the cost of driving the vehicle.
You can book a vehicle up to a year in advance, or as short notice as 15 minutes.
