CBSA tips for a smooth border crossing

The Canada Border Services Agency has some tips to make your crossing into and out of the United States this long weekend go smoother.
First, have all documentation needed to get into the U.S. and know exactly what you can buy and bring back into Canada.
CBSA spokesperson Lisa White says it also helps to have all receipts totalled and ready to show agents when you are on you way back home.
“Make a true and accurate declaration, you know sometimes we see people trying to save money on GST and the money that they would have paid in GST, had they been truthful, is very minimal compared to the penalties that they face,” said White.
