Harvie Passage project finished

The Harvey Passage project is now complete and ready for people to enjoy but the province is warning that while the multi-million dollar passage is safer than the weir it replaces, it’s not without its risks.
While it is safer, inexperienced boaters are still being asked to get out and walk at Pearce Estates Park.
An Alberta Sustainable Resources spokesperson says they don’t want people to “presuming that they can just travel down through it in their usual fashion of floating and watching the world go by.”
There are now class two and three rapids through the passage.
