RBC Play Hockey Grants

Canada is a hockey crazed sport in this country and athletes of all levels and backgrounds love to hit the ice and play.
However for many communities, hockey creates a financial burden that is simply not manageable.
Royal Bank of Canada is stepping up in a big way by offering $25,000 grants to help local hockey programs.
According to an RBC and Nanos Research survey, the average family spends about $1,500 on hockey-related expenses each year and less than half feel their local league has enough funding.
In Surrey, B.C., an RBC Play Hockey grant helped the city purchase both hockey and sledge hockey equipment and start new classes and programming for players of all levels and abilities.
The application deadline is May 31st.
Successful applicants will be announced in late September after being reviewed by a panel of hockey experts.
Over the past year, RBC has awarded more than $1 million to 87 deserving hockey programs across North America.
