A Calgary Alderman wants to equip more city employees with mobile devices.
Alderman Richard Pootmans says dialing up more devices for staff could be an efficient way of delivering services to Calgarians.
The Calgary Sun reports the idea comes following a report from a city auditor suggesting bureaucrats need to monitor the acceptable use of mobile devices given to city employees.
According to the report, one in every three of the city’s 15,000 employees is equipped with a mobile device; a ratio lower than Ottawa and Toronto.
