Calves fall from truck during morning commute

The term “holy cow” has a whole new meaning after an incident on a busy city road Friday morning.

Just after 9:00 a.m., two or three calves fell from the back of a truck on southbound Deerfoot and Seaton Boulevard.

There’s no word on the condition of the calves but police don’t believe any were killed.

A livestock company is expected to have picked up and transported the animals off the road and out of town.
