A close call for the residents of a home in the city’s northeast last night.
Gun shots rang out just before 11 o’clock on Del Ray Crescent, in Monterey Park.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News police rushed to the area after reports of shots being fired at a house.
“When we arrived, what we discovered was there were several shots fired at the house and one round in particular actually pierced through a front living room window and was imbedded in a couch inside the home.”
There were three people home at the time but fortunately no one was hit.
Inspector Stacey says investigators are interviewing people in the area to determine whether any of them saw the shooter or a vehicle connected to what happened.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
