Edmonton dog missing after car jacking

As an Edmonton man visits his wife in hospital following a savage car-jacking, he’s also weighed-down by the fact the family dog went missing in the incident.

Police believe a man got into Julie Murphy’s car early Saturday morning when she was filling up at a local gas station.

She tried to open the passenger door to save the dog named Ellford at which point police believe she was run-over.

The car was later found destroyed, but there has been no sight of Ellford.

A man is in custody and it’s believed he was high on drugs at the time of the incident.
