High-tech theatre comes to Telus Spark

The Telus Spark Science Centre is welcoming summer movie-goers with a high-tech $6.6-million dome theatre, the most advanced of its kind to ever open in Calgary.

The high-definition digital dome seats 245 people, and boasts a massive screen 23 metres across.

The state-of-the-art theatre is controlled by an iPad, 18 computers and four projectors according to The Calgary Sun.

It opens to the public on Saturday.
