Man struck by downtown Ctrain

A man is in serious but stable condition after being struck by a Ctrain downtown Sunday.
At around 1:30 p.m., the 40-year-old was pinned under the LRT at the Centre St. and 7th Ave. S.W. station.
Duty Insp. Paul Stacey tells 660News the man was crossing the tracks when the train had the right of way.
“We discovered he has a visual impairment that has contributed to the collision. As well, we believe on the pedestrian’s part, alcohol may have been a factor,” he adds.
Stacey adds the road and train are now reopen and running after being shut down for about an hour as police investigated.
