Head-shave event in support of Woodbine Elementary student

A school in the southwest is showing its support for a student by cracking-out the head-shaving gear.

Forty-eight people, including students and teachers, are scheduled to have their heads shaved Thursday at Woodbine Elementary School in honour of 10-year-old Elijah Coray.

Elijah was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The “Shave Your Lid for a Kid” event is spear-headed by Elijah’s grade-four classmates and has a goal of raising $30-thousand for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation.
