A Calgary doctor won’t be practicing medicine for the next six months.
Dr. Oswald Wachtler has been suspended until November 23rd by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta for prescribing drugs improperly.
Wachtler must also pay the $82-thousand bill for the investigation into his conduct dating back to 2007, and must re-take a prescribing course.
The Calgary Sun reports the infractions included not performing a proper physical examination, and not charting his justification for prescribing drugs to at least one patient.
