Political activists have protests planned Saturday for the offices of several Conservative MP’s, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s constituency office in southwest Calgary.
The group Leadnow.ca is rallying followers in protest over the omnibus budget bill, C-38, which it says contain sweeping measures that will fundamentally change Canadian society, including targeting environmental measures and protections.
The group claims a number of Tory MP’s have reservations about the budget bill and it’s hoping the protest rallies across the country will convince about a dozen MP’s to go against party lines and vote against the budget bill.
The Leadnow.ca rally at Harper’s Glenmore Landing constituency office will be joined by the Raging Grannies.
The protest rally begins at noon hour.
