Arrest made in Eaton Centre shooting

Toronto police said an arrest has been made in Saturday’s fatal Eaton Centre shooting. There’s no word yet on the suspect’s name.
A news conference is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. MST.
Police say the suspect turned himself in to police early Monday morning. He walked into 52 Division with his lawyer.
Ahmed Hassan, 24, has been identified as the deceased victim. Police believe he may have been targeted and may have had gang affiliation.
Besides the deceased, six others were hit by gunfire and rushed to hospital with various wounds, many of them considered serious.
One of them is reported to be a 13-year-old boy visiting from Port Hope. He was initially listed in critical condition after withstanding a bullet wound to the head, but he is now listed as in improving condition.
A 25-year-old female victim was also injured after receiving a bullet wound to the left leg. She has since been released from hospital.
The same remains true for a 25-year-old man who was released after suffering a bullet wound to the left leg.
Another 30-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when a bullet grazed her abdomen, and she has also been released from hospital.
One 22-year-old woman who suffered a gunshot wound to the hand refused treatment.
A 23-year-old man is still in hospital after sustaining a bullet wound to the neck and chest. His condition has been described as critical and police say his condition is the worst of the injured parties.
A pregnant woman was also injured; she was trampled and pushed as people fled the scene. She has been treated at hospital and both the woman and her unborn baby are doing well, according to police.
The mall, which was closed since the shooting, reopened for business on Monday — including retail stores and parking garages. The Urban Eatery food court won’t reopen to the public until Tuesday.
