This year’s EcoLiving Tour goes Saturday, June 9th.
You can hop a bus and take a tour of the city’s most innovative and leading edge homes and construction sites when it comes to environmentally-friendly living.
Judi Vandenbrink with EcoLiving Events tells 660News, one of the stops on the tour is a home with a ‘green roof.’
“They actually put a layer of soil on the top of the roof and plant in the roof. This is a good way to insulate the home. It’s also a way to capture some of the rainwater,” says Vandenbrink.
