B.C. reservoir could double gas output

Canada’s natural gas resources could soon double.
The well, which is about 150 kilometres northwest of Fort Nelson in the Laird Basin, stands to match or double Canada’s current natural gas output for the next ten years.
According to the Globe and Mail, the well has been kept secret until now, while a Houston-based company purchased the land around it.
The Laird Basin is one of the most remote reservoirs on the continent, and tapping it will require quite a bit of framework.
While the initial tests seem profitable, geologists have warned against putting too much stock in numbers on the preliminary data.
