All Sport One Day

Thousands of Calgary kids will have a busy Saturday for this year’s All Sport One Day.

The idea is to give children a chance to try new sports they wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to check out.

Tim Bjornson with Sport Calgary tells 660News, facilities in every quadrant of the city will be bustling with activity including Cardel Place, Foothills Athletic Park, Genesis Centre, Shawnessy YMCA, South Fish Creek Recreation Association, Southland Leisure Centre, Talisman Centre, Village Square Leisure Centre and Canada Olympic Park.

The focus for the event is to introduce children and their families to a sport, exercise or a game and inspire a lifelong passion for physical activity.
