In a media release Plains Midstream Canada notes that 278 response personnel were on site Monday collecting the oil using, skimmers, booms, and absorbent material.
To speed up the process the company says a third boom is now being used on the Glennifer Reservoir.
Air and water are being monitored along the Red Deer River.
