For its 100th anniversary this year, the Calgary Stampede promises to go bigger with attractions, even adding a new musical stage.
The Bell Centennial Plaza will join the Coca-Cola Stage and Nashville North and will feature musicians from the city’s other festivals, including Sled Island and Expo Latino.
The Stampede’s Doug Fraser tells 660News, Will, the artist who created this year’s theme song called Ride, will be one of the featured performers on the new stage.
Acts will perform twice a day at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on the Bell Centennial Plaza next to the new zip-line in the heart of the grounds.
Along with musical acts, the plaza will also host a trampoline wall, illusionists and a First Nations performance.
