College and University students don’t have to live on Kraft Dinner and takeout pizza.
A Calgary food blogger is teaching them an important life skill: how to cook.
Dan Clapson of dansgoodside.com tells 660News, ‘Start from Scatch’ is hosting a special dinner Thursday night.
“So, this is just to raise some funds for the program. We’re expanding into some new western Canadian cities in the fall, so we just need to restock kitchen supplies”, he says.
Six food writers and six Calgary chefs will team up on the menu.
food lovers can also get their hands dirty learning to make sausages with Connie Desousa of Charcut Roast House, and how to butcher with Home Tasting Room’s Geoff Rogers.
The fundraiser goes Thursday night at ‘Casel Marche’ in the southwest.
