Greenspace coming to Calgary courtesy of Molson

A Canadian beer giant is looking to create a downtown greenspace in Cowtown, virtually overnight.

Molson is looking for a few hundred landscapers to revitalize the space on 14th Avenue S.W. with the promise of a free concert at Cowboy’s for those who help out.

“The Red Leaf Project” is hoping for 350 volunteers to lay grass and plant trees on the lot July 2nd as part of an effort to spruce up greenspaces across the country.

Last year, 25 community parks were restored with help from more than 2,000 volunteers.

According to The Calgary Sun, Molson has 100 projects this year and hopes to do something special for Calgary.
