Quiet results for noise snare launch

The City of Calgary’s noise snare program officially launched, without so much as a peep.
According to The Calgary Sun, in an hour’s time on Ogden Road during the afternoon rush Wednesday, not one vehicle broke the sound barrier of 96 decibels.
Despite modified trucks and motorcycles, the loudest vehicle to drive past the noise metre only registered 93 decibels.
Warnings will be handed out for the first month before $200 fines are given to drivers with noisy vehicles.
