Hundreds of dedicated men and women are coming together to ride over 200 kilometres to raise significant funds and awareness for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
The fourth annual Ride to Conquer Cancer takes place in Alberta over the weekend.
Spokesperson Nick Locke says the route is quite a lengthy one departing from Hwy 22 in south Calgary.
“They head south-west into the Foothills where they make camp at Chain Lakes Provincial Park. They then leave the camp at 7:00 a.m. Sunday and head back to Calgary,” explains Locke.
All funds raised go to increasing cancer research and improving treatment and care for patients who suffer from the disease.
