Stolen vehicle recovered

Two women are in custody after stealing a van with a firearm inside, in the city’s northeast.
Calgary Police received a call about the stolen vehicle around 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
Duty Inspector Craig Skelton tells 660News, the suspects later surrendered in the 1700 block of 34th Street S.E.
He says, “Our District 4 patrol members located that van and two females were unloading property from it into a residence. One of the females was arrested outside of the van and ultimately, the second female surrendered from inside the residence and was taken into custody.”
The weapon was also recovered and charges are pending.
