Flooding has forced the closure of a portion of Heritage Drive in the city’s southeast.
City Spokesperson Vickie Megrath tells 660News, the high water in the area is calling for immediate action.
Megrath says, “The portion of Heritage Drive that goes under Glenmore Trail is closed due to flooding, caused by the high water level of the Bow River, the water table in that area has risen and that section of Heritage Drive is fairly low lying.”
The closure affects eastbound Heritage Drive at Glendeer Circle and westbound Glenmore Trail at Heritage Drive.
The shutdown could last into Monday as crews will be putting up detour and closure signs to alert drivers in the area.
