As summer rolls in, so do the headaches for drivers with road crews playing catch-up on several major projects after a wet spring put work behind schedule.
City spokesman Conrad Hild tells The Calgary Herald while contractors are ready to start work in April, this year they couldn’t really get going until May.
The city still has a list of 15 outstanding construction projects.
Some of the high priority jobs include the Elbow Drive rebuild, work along 52nd street between 94th and 106th Avenue S.E. and improvements to John Laurie Boulevard at Shaganappi Trail N.W.
