Folks taking in Canada Day in the city

While RVs packed with families and coolers chug down the highway during the Canada Day long weekend, many people opt to stay home and take in the long weekend festivities in the city.
Tyler and Krista spent the sunny Saturday afternoon getting some fresh air around Eau Claire, and say they’re taking it easy in the city this weekend in preparation for what will be a very busy Stampede week.
As for their Canada Day plans, the couple says they’ll head south to Millarville to take in some horse races with friends.
Yash says he’s staying home because there’s a TV showing the Euro final.
But it’s not just Calgarians spending their long weekend here.
New Jersey-native Margueritte tells 660News she and her husband, Bruce, deviated from their tour group to take in Prince’s Island Park.
Vancouver native Cory and his family are here taking in an outdoor wedding.
