An early look at the Stampede parade

If you can’t wait for the Calgary Stampede parade Friday morning, we have a sneak peek of one of the entries.
The United Way and Shia Ismaili Muslim community gave us some details on the centennial float they are working on.
“It’s got two horses at the front, which are made of papier-mâché, then it’s followed by a sort of chuck wagon style theme to it and at the back we have a tipi and a ferris wheel,” said spokesperson Karam-Ali Talakshi.
The parade starts at 8:55 a.m. Friday morning at sixth avenue and third street south east and ends at city hall.
