Pedestrian hit in N.W. intersection

A pedestrian has been sent to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in the city’s N.W.
The accident happened at the intersection of Hawkstone Manor and Country Hills Blvd. shortly after 9:00 p.m.
Duty Inspector Craig Skelton tells 660News, crews had to extricate a man pinned underneath the vehicle.
Police have closed the intersection and will remain on scene investigating.
