The aspiring pop-country artist who sang the national anthem before the Stampeders game on Canada Day is apologizing for not removing his cap.
The Quebec native tells The Calgary Sun he told football officials pre-game he would be wearing the hat, which boosts his confidence, and no one said he couldn’t.
While the anthem got off to a shaky start, Frank Therrien says he enjoyed his first experience singing in front of a big crowd but he learned a big lesson.
Therrien adds it was an oversight on his part and he never intended to offend anyone on Canada’s birthday.
