About 800 Grade 12 students in Alberta have been given the option to write a provincial diploma exam — but not until August!
It’s one of three options given the students after an online exam, a pilot project, failed to work last month.
Among those affected are students at about a dozen schools in the Calgary Catholic School District.
The online problem affected students taking a portion of the “Quest A” English and social studies exams.
So far, Alberta Education indicates only one student in the province has opted to rewrite the exam in August.
