With the weekend weather expected to really heat up, the fire department is warning Calgarians that the Bow and Elbow Rivers are still unsafe.
The advisory against boating remains in effect because the risk is significant to both recreational users and emergency responders.
The department’s Ken Uzeloc tells 660News, Calgarians are being asked to stay off the water for a few more days and into next week.
Calgarians are also urged to use caution around river banks, since the fast-moving water can cause the banks to collapse.
