Tennis repairs called Band-Aid solution

The city is spending $500,000 this summer to refurbish and repair 11 public tennis courts, but the tennis community is calling it a Band-Aid solution.
The courts will receive simple upgrades like resurfacing, painting and a pressure wash, at a cost of $20,000 each.
But a spokesperson for the Racquet Network tells The Calgary Herald the courts will look good for a couple years and fall apart again.
The Oakridge community just completed a $600,000 rebuild of four courts that could signal how little the city will be able to do at the 11 sites with less funding.
