Fight brewing over LRT legs

As city council gets ready to debate a report predicting the Southeast leg of the LRT could take until 2039, councillors may also reveal which leg is the next to be expanded Wednesday.
Despite the outcries of residents in Douglasdale and McKenzie Towne, the southeast LRT isn’t a shoo-in for construction.
Alderman Druh Farrell tells The Calgary Herald she doesn’t want to count out a north-central line up Centre St. N., adding the decision should be based on ridership, return investment and potential growth.
