Search for B.C. landslide victims called off

The search is done for now at the site of a massive landslide in the Kootenays.
Crews are reviewing their options before deciding where they will look next.
The recovery effort has found the bodies of a man and a woman, but two females remain missing.
Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe says they’ll do their best to find them but there are no guarantees.
“We might excavate several tons more earth and not find them. Would we excavate the whole site? I don’t think that’s going to happen. We’ve got 83 acres of slide area.” said Lapointe.
She says the next few days will be used to decide what other parts of the slide are likely to be hiding the bodies.
Around the homes destroyed in the slide, crews have already dug through over 5 metres of material to reach the foundations.
