Smoke detector saves pair from S.W. blaze

Another reason proving why smoke detectors are so important.

Two people in a southwest home woke up to the sound of their alarm going off around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The couple called 911; when fire crews arrived they quickly extinguished the blaze which was burning at the back of their house.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
