Insects taking over Cowtown

Calgary is being invaded by insects.
Tens of thousands of satin moths are ravaging city trees.
People living in the areas of Willow Park, Brentwood and along Memorial Drive area seeing mature poplar trees with barely a full leaf left.
According to The Calgary Sun, workers at Willow Park and Maple Ridge golf courses are blasting the trunks of poplar and willow trees with high pressure hoses to try to save them from being eaten by the moths.
The city golf course operations coordinator says a 90 foot poplar can be stripped of its leaves in just two weeks.
