Calgary heats up with Sun and Salsa, Fiestaval

Olympic Plaza will come alive this weekend as Calgary’s Latin community celebrates Fiestaval!

The free two-day multicultural arts and entertainment event highlights Latin American culture in the heart of the city Saturday and Sunday.

It’s an opportunity to experience Latin American arts, rhythms, and flavours through live entertainment, art and food vendors.

Fiestaval is also a chance for Calgary’s Latin Community to showcase their culture and the vitality of the various Latin American heritages.

On Sunday, set fire to your taste buds during Kensington’s 19th Annual Sun and Salsa Festival.

From 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., businesses will serve up more than 500 gallons of 25 different salsas along Kensington Road and 10th Street N.W.

The family event features live entertainment and lots to do for the kids including hoola-hoop and maraca making and the 1st Annual Cupcake Walk.
