B.C. First Nations take aim at Clark’s pipeline conditions

B.C.’s First Nations groups are concerned with how little Premier Christy Clark has listened to their wishes in regards to the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline project.
Clark set five conditions which Alberta must commit to before B.C. will support the pipeline through Kitimat B.C., including a larger sum of money which she says will reflect marine risks the must endure.
Also among the requirements, was that First Nations were able to participate in the project, something the Yinka Dene Alliance says they have rejected outright.
The Alliance and over 100 other First Nations have signed a declaration to place a ban on pipelines and tankers through the Fraser Fiver, where the Northern Gateway pipeline would cross.
