The man behind the city’s by-law services, Bill Bruce, is retiring this week.
Bruce changed bylaw enforcement almost overnight by focusing on cooperation rather than a punishment.
The 58-year-old will call it quits on Friday.
Bruce has worked for the City of Calgary for more than 31 years and tells The Calgary Herald he’s looking forward to travelling and having more time for photography.
