AMA warns about suspicious calls

The Alberta Motor Association is warning customers about a series of phishing calls.
The voice mails have been using both AMA and the CAA brands, claiming to be either conducting a survey, collecting for a charity or marketing health-related products.
AMA says any legitimate telephone survey will always include a phone number for an AMA contact in order to validate the call; it will also never reward responses with free memberships or any other prizes or gifts.
AMA recommends that anyone who receives a suspicious phone call to hang up immediately and call the the phone company to report the call.
