Enbridge is facing yet another delay in the wake of a recent oil spill.
An American watchdog says the company must hire an independent party to supervise a new safety plan for the pipeline network before it allows the company to restart the line which leaked last Friday.
The stepped-up restrictions come as Enbridge loses support in British Columbia for its Northern Gateway Pipeline.
According to the Globe and Mail, 65 per cent of British Columbians already disapprove of Gateway and the increased oil tanker traffic that would come with it.
