CBE predicts more students will be bussing it

The Calgary Board of Education has re-done its 10-year outlook and for families living in the suburbs it is not good news.
Combined with a predicted increase in the student population of 20-thousand over the next decade — as well as the opinion the financially-strapped provincial government won’t be building as many new schools — the CBE sees more bussing for students in its crystal ball.
According to the Calgary Herald, it’s good news for older, under-utilized inner-city schools. It means they won’t be closed as students will be bussed in from the fringes of the city which is lacking in school facilities.
Four new middle schools are opening the in the city, this fall, in Tuscany, Panorama Hills, Coventry Hills and Taradale.
