Search crews have found the body of a missing Calgary hiker and father of four on Castle Mountain in Banff National Park.
Ho-Seok (Michael) Hwang hadn’t been seen since Saturday morning when he left his Calgary home to go hiking.
RCMP say the death is climbing related.
“He was descending down a rock face and he was at the bottom of a bit of a crevasse,” said Corporal. Jeff Campbell.
Parks Canada crews doing a fly over found the body of the 44-year-old just after one Tuesday afternoon.
Corporal Campbell says they don’t know the exact cause of death because crews have not been able to recover his body. The high winds in the area are making the recovery dangerous for mountain rescue specialists.
