The Staples for Education Program is underway in Calgary.
It collects school supplies for underprivileged children from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
This years need is expected to be as high as 3,000 stuffed backpacks.
You can help by visiting any of the 10 Staples stores in Calgary to donate cash or suggested grade appropriate supplies.
Organizers say a cash donation of $40 is the equivalent to one completely school ready backpack.
Donations totalling $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt from the City of Calgary.
