Calgarians celebrating EID

Muslims around the world are celebrating EID, the end of a one month Ramadan fast.

In Calgary, thousands gathered in the northeast on Sunday to mark the occasion.

Chairman of the Muslim Council of Canada Abraham Ayache tells 660News the community came together to share the joy.

“We have entertainment for the children, clowns, face painting, balloons, there’s a lot going on that’s for sure” Ayache says.

He adds family, friends and neighbours will continue to get together to celebrate the day.
