Unruly passenger forces diversion for Calgary-bound plane

A Calgary-bound plane was forced to land in Edmonton after a passenger on the flight became unruly.

An Air Canada spokesman tells The Calgary Sun a passenger on the flight from London, England, became disruptive, so they diverted to the province’s capital around 3:45 p.m. Monday.

Peter Fitzpatrick wouldn’t say what the man was doing, but the pilot and airline workers followed standard procedure in the landing.

The flight finally arrived at the Calgary International Airport about two hours after its scheduled arrival time.
