Fire guts living room in SW home

The living room of a southwest townhouse has been damaged by fire.
Fire Battalion Chief Ernie Molineaux tells 660News they were called to a complex on 45th Avenue and 45th Street just before 5:30a.m. Friday.
“We got in there very quickly, actually. We confined the fire to the living room area and apparently the people in there at the time were house sitting, so there will probably be some upset people when they do get home,” he says.
Two cats in the home at the time also managed to escape and there are no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
